modern tutoring agency

De Silva Tutors is a private tutoring agency based in west London, with tutors in every corner of the city. We have more than 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages and at every level and have become firm favourites with the families who have chosen our tutors.

Tutoring all ages

With more than 100 tutors on our books De Silva Tutors is able to cater for students at the earliest primary levels, all the way up to post-graduate degree – and to match the individual needs of a student with exactly the right teaching methods. We find that matching the personalities of students and tutors makes an enormous difference to the success of the tuition.

Exam preparation

As well as a depth of tutoring experience in a huge range of A-level and GCSE subjects, we can also boast experts in the more niche exams, such as the American SATs, international Baccalaureate and the GMAT. Whichever exam you are working towards we can find the right person for you.

School entrance

If you are aiming at getting into a specific school we can gear you up for their entrance exams. We have tutors with experience of helping students gain places in some of the country’s top institutions and we are confident we can find someone to get you through the doors of even the most exclusive schools.

  • Recently my son felt he had lost confidence in his English coming up to exams, so Craig supplied a wonderful English tutor who, within a few sessions was able to give my son back his confidence and go into his exam feeling so much better

    Caroline, mother from Holland Park

  • I was recommended De Silva Tutors by a friend and I shall forever be grateful. I have been incredibly impressed by the professionalism, encouragement and enthusiasm shown by both the tutors and support staff and I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

    Lucy, mother from Fulham

  • I really looked forward to my tutoring sessions as they were really fun and the tutors helped me to understand topics that I hadn’t understood at school

Maddie, GCSE student in West London

  • My two sons have had a fantastic experience with tutoring from De Silva tutors. It has given them a real love of learning, has kept them focussed and also allowed them a chance to really go into deeper understanding than they do in their (excellent, state) school.

    Malcolm, father in Bayswater

  • Craig De Silva is a one-man band but his results are symphonic. He goes to considerable lengths to match a child with the tutor best suited to him.

    The Good School's guide

  • A warm, efficient agency that seems to sprinkle magic dust on parental stress and anxiety and turn out kids as relaxed as founder Craig De Silva himself, reaching their potential not through pressure but through improved confidence and a love of learning.
